Join Cub Scout Pack 149!!

Pack 149 is proud to offer boys and girls grades K-5 fun and challenging experiences that help scouts and their parents build a life long bond unlike any other. Cubs learn to “Do Their Best” and have fun as a pack. Our program provides unique opportunities to strengthen our scouts self-esteem and leadership skills through community service, team building exercises, and outdoor adventures!

Our Pack provides many opportunities for:
Camping, 
Hiking, Bicycling, Fishing, 
Community Service, Games
and So Much More!

Hartford Wolf Pack Scout Night 2023

Great night had with many scouts at Scout Night at the Hartford wolfpack game . Even got to walk the on the ice . Teddy bear toss night too for local charity's.

Talcott Mountain Science Center

Tigers and friends completed ‘The Sky Is The Limit’ adventure at Talcott Mountain planetarium thanks to a generous donation from Lee Hoffman.

 

Thanksgiving in the Woods 2023

Nearly 100 Scouts gobbled turkey and alllllll the fixin’s at our annual “Thanksgiving in the Woods”! And our Webelos earned their ‘Cast Iron Chef’ adventure!

2023 Thanksgiving In The Woods

Troops 149/1149 has cordially invited Pack 149 to join them for Thanksgiving in the Woods festivities. This delicious annual tradition and time of fellowship is an important part of Cubs seeing what Troop Scouting can be like, and the many different ways to cook outdoors. 

Webelos and AOLs programming begins at 1pm (tent setup for those overnighting, nature hike, cooking prep for the Cast Iron Chef adventure).

Everyone else (Lions, Tigers, Wolves and Bears) programming begins at 4pm as follows:

  • 4 pm arrival
  • 4:30 pm opening ceremonies
  • 5 pm dinner
  • S'mores dessert after dinner
  • Cubs head home after dessert

Webelos and AOLs Only are encouraged to remain for the evening Troop activities, camping, and a continental breakfast in the morning. If you want to borrow any camping equipment from the Pack, please text Heather Mitchell at 860-604-4390. 

Dinner consists of Trashcan Turkey (shiny new trash barrels used as ovens), mashed potatoes, many other holiday favorite side dishes, multiple dessert options, and so much more. Gluten and pork free options. 

COST: $10 per person (max $40 per family) just to cover food expenses

We dress up for Thanksgiving, so this is a Class A uniform event. If you don't have a complete uniform yet, just "do your best."  

Looking forward to sharing a Thanksgiving meal with everyone in our Scouting family!!!
